Salad

An actual salad. Not even an approximation. This serves two.

Utensils and ingredients:

On the cutting board, cut a head of Romaine lettuce lengthwise, except for the base. Turn it 90 degrees and cut it lengthwise again, except for the base. Then cut through in 1 inch chunks starting at the tip and down to the base. Discard the base. Put half in each bowl, trying to get an equal amount of greenness in each bowl.

Cut two slices of bread and toast them.

Cut a 1/8 inch slice of cheddar from a block, then cut it into 4 pieces, then cut all those into 1/4 inch pieces, leaving roughly 1/8 x 1/4 x 3/4 inch rectangles. Put half on one salad, half on the other.

Cut off about an inch of the goat cheese. Put half on one, half on the other.

Dice the tomato, put half on one salad, half on the other.

Dice some salami too, half on one, half on the other.

The bread should be finished toasting. Cut each slice into cubes, put the cubes from one slice on one, the other slice on the other.

Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over both salads.

Serve.
