He worked for the post office. In 1920 he was a boarder in the same house in Canton, Ohio as his aunt Harriet's grandchild, Douglass Gottshall. The family remembers Oscar driving back and forth between Canton and Cleveland all the time in a flashy car (a relative Frank Corell ran a Buick dealership in Cleveland). He never married.
